ABOUT
Drift films made with AI in Norway. One person, one render machine, a new film every day.
WHAT YOU ARE WATCHING
Every film is generated, not filmed, and we always say so. The cars, the smoke and the corners are rendered frame by frame by a video model, directed by a written brief that sets the car, the manoeuvre, the camera and the light.
The driving has to read true: real slip angles, opposite lock, smoke off the rear wheels only. A film that slides without angle is not a drift film, and it is not published.
HOW A FILM GETS MADE
Each film starts from a short brief, renders for about two hours on a single graphics card, and is judged by a person before it is posted. Many never make it. The ones that do go to YouTube first.
THE LOT
The Play page is a toy: a small closed course you can drive, drift and lap, on a phone with the touch pads or on a computer with the keyboard. It runs in your browser. Nothing is installed and nothing is tracked.
World techniques inspired by Bruno Simon's open-source portfolio (MIT). The car, trees and track props are Kenney models (CC0); the code and the course are our own.
Sound, when you turn it on, is a real engine: a 6.2 litre supercharged LS V8, recorded onboard by Pole Position (Sonniss GDC 2020 bundle) during one full-throttle pull, and played from the moment in that pull that matches your revs.
